Currently, no syntax validation is performed on the field "website". This actually allows square bracket syntax, such as the page:

Unfortunately, this cleverness breaks anything parsing the RDF data (attached).

Either this metadata field should be validated more strictly in the commit function (probably a good idea), or we should at least cater for square bracket links in the RDF feed.

If you create a new page, and don't give it any content, then OpenGuides gets very confused about whether it exists or not.

To recreate: click "Create New Page", add some data other than content, save the page, and you'll be bounced to a "we don't currently have a page called X"

It would be nice to have a "review" field for each node, which would be a date field, set by default to, say 6 months in the future. This could be overriden by authors, or possibly by specific categories (some sorts of entries might need more regular reviewing). You'd then be able to go to a page of nodes that are due for reviewing.

This would help prevent entries from becoming too stale.

Hence I marked it as a wishlist item. While I can understand you not being interested in it, I don't understand why you closed the bug.

As for the patch, as I've explained I'm simply not up to speed with understanding the code that drives OpenGuides at the moment so it won't be immediate. However if/when I do I'll certainly be looking to be constructive, which is part of the reason I filed the bug!

I will look at expanding the allowed character set for search strings to take into account internationalization. We need to see if there are issues with Search::InvertedIndex?, and make sure that it tokenizes in an i18n way.

Work on this should probably be concentrated on Plucene - see other utf8 bugs in OpenGuides though.
